POL 347 - Ethnicity and Conflict ManagementThree Credits Alternate Years: Fall 2011, 2013
At the end of the Cold War global peace and security have proven short-lived due to the revival of ethnic conflicts. Competing theories on nationalism and ethnic conflict, modern conflict management tools and approaches and case studies: Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Ireland, Sudan, Sri Lanka, and Chechnya will be examined. Prerequisite(s): POL 134 .
