An examination of the imperial experience in East, Southeast and South Asia during the nineteenth and twentieth century’s, encompassing the impact of both European and Asian expansions. Themes include issues of race, gender, modernization, orientalism and colonial legacies. Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing. Considered a World History.
