GENH 100 - Critical Encounters – HistoryThree Credits
Fall and Spring Semesters
An introduction to the study of history, focusing on documentary evidence and historical writing drawn from a variety of themes and periods. Emphasizes key goals and questions, including “What is History?” and “Who Owns History?” Students will develop an awareness of primary sources and their uses, historical perspectives, historiography, and competing interpretations of crucial events in history.
