BIO 309 - MicrobiologyFour Credits Spring Semester
A survey of microorganisms with emphasis on bacteria. Topics include: microbial cell biology, growth, metabolism, and genetics; control of microbial growth; host-microbe interactions; and environmental microbiology. Two 75-minute laboratory periods per week. Prerequisite(s): BIO 101 - BIO 102 , or BIO 211 This course fulfills the Structural Organismic requirement.
