BIO 212 - Genetics4 Credits Offered Spring Classical genetics of eukaryotes, the biochemistry of gene function, regulation of gene expression, mutation and repair mechanisms, current methods in genetic manipulations, genome sequencing and editing, and genetics of bacteria and their viruses. Laboratory work stresses classical and molecular genetics research techniques.
Prerequisite(s)/Restriction(s): BIO 101 - Biological Principles I , BIO 102 - Biological Principles II , and Note: This is a Core Biology course.
