BIO 211 - Cell Biology4 Credits Offered Fall An overview of eukaryotic cell structure and function. Topics include mechanisms of protein processing, vesicular transport, intercellular and intracellular communication; cell cycle regulation; cell proliferation, differentiation, and programmed cell death.
Prerequisite(s)/Restriction(s): BIO 101 - Biological Principles I (with a grade of C- or higher) and BIO 102 - Biological Principles II Core Curriculum Attribute(s): Writing in the Disciplines (WID designation ends as of Spring 2025; moved to BIO 323 Evolution) Note: This is a Core Biology course.
