CHM 443 - Physical Chemistry IIIThree Credits Alternate Years: Spring 2012, 2014
The Schrodinger equation is applied to several models including: a particle-in-a-box, the harmonic oscillator, and the rigid rotator. Models are explored in light of vibrational and rotational spectroscopy. The hydrogen atom is studied along with approximation methods for many-electron atoms. Prerequisite(s): CHM 333
