A major in Political Science and International Studies consists of a minimum of 39 credits, which include six core courses plus at least 21 additional credits taken as part of a concentration in either Government and Politics or International Relations.

Government and Politics Concentration
American Government
Students must take two courses from this area: Political Theory
Students must take one course from this area: Comparative Politics
Students must take one course from this area: International Relations
Students must take one course from this area: Six Additional Credits
Take six additional Political Science (POL) credits.
International Relations Concentration
Three Required Courses
Students must take the following three required courses: Foreign Language/Study Abroad Requirement
- Mastery of a Foreign Langauge at the advanced 300-level is required.
- Students must participate in a study abroad program.
Four additional courses at the 200-level or above
Students must take four additional courses at the 200-level or above from the list below: Visual Arts and Performing Arts
Public Administration and Public Policy Concentration
Five Required Courses
