Department Chairperson:
The major in Philosophy requires the completion of nine courses plus a three course Capstone sequence, beyond the 100-Level Philosophy Cornerstone requirement.
The selection and sequence of courses for the major should be made in consultation with the Chairperson or Department Advisor.

Complete One 100-Level Philosophy Cornerstone Course
Complete One Ancient to Medieval Philosophy Course
Complete One Modern to Contemporary Philosophy Course
Complete Elementary Logic
Complete One Philosophy Moral Inquiry Course
Complete Five Philosophy Elective Courses
Up to two Philosophy courses (PHL 201 - 236) may count towards the major.
(PHL 301 , PHL 401 , and PHL 421 may not count as electives.)
Complete the Capstone Sequence in Philosophy
