The College offers a minor in Irish Studies.

Mission of the Program

The Irish Studies Minor is open to students of any major and focuses on providing students with a broad understanding of the history, politics, and culture of Ireland. Students are encouraged to seek ties between their interest in Irish Studies and their major fields; faculty members work with students individually, helping them to create a program of study according to their interests and goals. By shaping a program of study that emphasizes the links between students’ major and minor fields, the Irish Studies minor seeks to enhance students’ critical thinking skills and their development as intellectually curious, engaged scholars.
