FIN 221 - Corporate Finance3 Credits Offered Fall, Spring, Summer Formerly BUS 320 and FIN 320. Emphasizes understanding financial markets and the financial management of corporations. Stresses the firm’s procurement, allocation, and control of funds and their relationship to the firm’s objectives of profitability and liquidity. Covers the concepts of interest rates, financial analysis, risk and return, analysis of investment decisions and capital budgeting, debt and equity financing, and dividend policies. Lectures, problems, and readings are employed.
Prerequisite(s)/Restriction(s): C- or higher in ACC 203 - Financial Accounting (formerly BUS 203). Note: Course number changed from 320 to 221 effective Spring 2026.
