POL 339 - The United States and Latin America3 Credits Offered alternate years This course explores relations between the United States and Latin America. We consider issues such as race, ethnicity, ideology, financial interests, trade, military-strategic concerns, and domestic and international factors, including US intervention, have shaped political and economic development in Latin America. We also explore how Latin America has influenced the political and economic development of the US and ask how Latin-x communities in the US have been shaping and reshaping domestic US politics.
