MTH 251 - Linear Algebra

This course follows the development of the methods and underlying ideas for solving systems of linear equations and emphasizes theoretical approaches and mathematical proofs. Topics include Gauss-Jordan Elimination, linear transformations, subspaces of R^n and their dimensions, orthogonality, least square and data fitting, determinants, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, diagonalization, solutions of systems of first order linear differential equations.

Prerequisite(s)/Restriction(s): MTH 126 - Calculus II

Note: Students may not earn credit for both MTH 251 and MTH 264.
