CRM 224 - Juvenile Delinquency3 Credits Offered Fall and Spring An examination of juvenile delinquency in American society. Topics include the historical background and “invention” of delinquency, cross-cultural definitions of delinquency, theories of delinquency, social class differences, and the juvenile court system. The course critically examines the social, health, and mental health services which have been utilized by this society in attempts to prevent or “treat” delinquent behavior.
