POL 356 - Politics of the Middle East

Three Credits
Alternate Years: Spring 2012, 2014

This course will focus on the Arab-Israeli conflict and relationships among the Arab states; the roll of the major powers in the Middle east’ a consideration of ideas and political manifestations of nationalism,the impact of imperialism, problems of development, and politics of oil, finally, the impact of ethnicity, tribalism culture and religion in explaining politic in the Middle Eastern states.

Prerequisite(s): POL 134  and POL 143
